About Us

Welcome to Milwood

Milwood Elementary is a traditional full-service elementary school. It offers before and after school care and a full-day kindergarten experience. Interns and pre-interns are prospective graduates of Western Michigan University. Fifth graders attend Sherman Lake Camp every year. Milwood partners with Communities In Schools of Kalamazoo to offer academic tutors, social work services, Junior Achievement programs, and Kids Hope mentoring. We value our students, parents, and staff. We look forward to forming a strong partnership in the best interest of our students. Our staff is very committed to educating our students by providing a structured environment, and through the use of a Restorative Justice model for problem-solving. Our staff works to provide a nurturing, college-going culture for all.
